Big Game

Hundreds of square miles of private access and very limited hunting pressure creates an oasis in the red desert for trophy big game. From that dry desert with archery blinds and antelope all the way to the lush high mountain meadows, we hunt it all. Whether you're interested in prairie dogs, sage grouse, blue grouse, elk or brook trout we have an adventure for almost everyone. Tell us what you want and we will make something work. The overall quality and sheer numbers of game seen creates an unbelievable experience.

Antelope

We offer the opportunity to hunt for record book antelope in the heart of Carbon County, WY. Our county has produced more Boone and Crockett antelope than any other county in the United States. Antelope seasons begins in early August and runs through the end of October giving us plenty of time to fit your schedule.

Elk

Due to increased public land hunting pressure and limited hunting pressure on the private ranches leased by Carrico Safaris the elk herd is thriving. The bull to cow ratio is unbelievable and it is not uncommon to see more bulls than cows. The average bull harvested scores around 320".

Deer

Mule deer hunts at Carrico Safaris are an exclusive experience. Our efforts of actively managing the mule deer herd continue to improve the quality of animals harvested. The scores and ages of the animals have not only improved but the number of bucks spotted in a day's hunt must be seen to be believed.

Moose

Shiras moose hunting on the Dexter Peak Ranch is a new addition to our hunt list. The moose herd has been steadily growing in southern Wyoming but the hunting pressure has remained low. Moose on the Dexter Peak Ranch have never been hunted but the trophy quality is at our desired level to begin offering hunts.
